A new Hindu temple has been officially inaugurated by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, the UAE's Minister of Tolerance. It was inaugurated by ambassador of India to UAE, Dr. Omar Al Muthanna, CEO of Social Regulatory and Licensing Agency for Community Development Authority (CDA), Raju Shroff, Trustee of Dubai Hindu Temple.

According to reports, it was inaugurated a day before the Dussehra festival and the temple is an extension of the Sindhi Guru Darbar Temple, one of the oldest Hindu temples in the United Arab Emirates. The foundation of the temple was laid in February 2020. According to Gulf News, the temple will be officially open to the public from today.
