India woman team starts as the favorites' against Sri Lanka in the Women’s Asia Cup T20 tournament that begins on Saturday in Sylhet.
The Indian team is dominating in the Women's Asia Cup. They have won 6 out of 7 editions played so far. Last time also the team was in the final but lost against Bangladesh. They are also holding the record of capturing it six times in a row.
This tournament has been organized since 2004 and India has won the trophy every time except the last year.
Seven teams are participating in this tournament - India, Pakistan, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, UAE and host Bangladesh. All sides will play each other in a round-robin format - a total of six matches each - with the top four will qualify for semifinals.
